Plans that never made it.
These are plans or drawings found in the PTM Archives that never saw the light of day.
These first two images I took with my digital camera. These are not module plans, they actually came from the PRCo archives. I don't know what would be gained by making a complete loop around the building. Cars coming out of the tunnel or from Knoxville could be turned around without going through the shop area. I suppose that is why it was never built.
Someone must have been trying to find a use for excess track and switches. No information is available on this plan.
Apparently some real consideration was given to a "Rapid Transit" system in Pittsburgh as this 1930 letter and plan testify.
