Before the Administration Building.

The tunnel was blasted through Mt. Washington in record time and open for business late in 1904. Facilities, though, were a bit sparse at first as evidenced by this photo from the Carnegie Library. The caption said “Crew room and waiting room at the south end of the Mount Washington streetcar tunnel in 1905.” Such humble beginnings for “trolley heaven”! You can see steps to Warrington Ave. at the right, and at the far left is a P&CSRR trestle.
