3100-3209
There were apparently 2 groups of these cars, both groups were similar double truck, wood, high floor – the first post-consolidation double-truck cars. Built by LaClede in 1902 they had 30 ft. bodies. The first group, cars 3100-3199, weighed 48,000 lbs., motors were Westinghouse 56 or Westinghouse 67, with B8 control and Bemis 4’-0” wheelbase trucks. Most scrapping dates fall between 1927 and 1931, apparently victims of the last purchase of low-floor cars.
The second group weighed 47,000 lbs., with Westinghouse #62 motors, and B23 controls. They had 42 seats. Reassigned to Pittsburgh and Charleroi Street Railway in 1926, they were scrapped in 1927-1930. Five cars became miscellaneous cars.
This looks like the official photo of 3141.
