1500-1990

Single truck open summer cars, 29'8" length over buffers, width 7'11", weight 23,500 lbs.  Seating capacity 45.  McGuire & L.B. 7'6" wb trucks with 2 Westinghouse 45 or 60  hp or 2 GE 45 hp motors.  These were all the open cars received from underliers, or at least all that survived long enough to be renumbered into the Pittsburgh Railways scheme. Most were scrapped between 1915 and 1922, the last in 1928 (number 1834 was the last open cars in Pittsburgh). Some became miscellaneous cars (single truck flat cars were easy to make from open cars).

This is an open car of the Washington Electric Street Railway, which was acquired by PRCo.
