1000-1099

The first group of PCC cars in Pittsburgh.  They were air cars with no standee windows and with a split destination sign.  A small cowling surrounded the pole base.  Built by St. Louis Car Co. in 1937.

This photo from the Pittsburgh Trolley Pictorial shows PCC 1062 picking up a crowd at Fifth and Craig when she was still new.
